This
standard specifies the system composition; technical requirements and warranty;
inspection, testing, and acceptance; scope of supply, spare parts, and special
tools; drawings and documents; nameplates, packaging, transportation, and
storage for turbine/pump-turbine spherical inlet valves (hereinafter referred
to as the spherical inlet valves).
This
standard is applicable to spherical inlet valves with a maximum hydrostatic
head of 200 m or above and a nominal diameter of 500 mm to 4,500 mm.
The
design and manufacture of spherical inlet valves shall comply with this
standard.
